Biography:
Steven Brooks is known by the world of lacrosse as a powerhouse. However, by his teammates and those around him he is known as “Brooksie,” fun-loving, superstitious, and outgoing. Additionally, his spirit has been a strengthening component for the team all around. Despite fighting tragedies off the field, Brooks has always triumphantly come out on top. Brooks has suffered from numerous injuries throughout his career and always finds a way back to the field, while maintaining that fun-loving spirit. Another heartbreaking blow off the field that has driven Brooks to success was the death of his mother when he was in high school. His college lacrosse stick had her initials, BBB written on it. He continued that tradition with his Chicago Machine stick as well.

(2008) Chicago... 6/1 Scored two goals and three assists in first MLL start in 18-14 loss to Washington Bayhawks. 6/7 Scored two goals and an assits in 15-14 overtime loss to San Francisco. 6/14 Collected three points (2 goals, 1 assist) in 11-12 loss to Barrage. 6/21 Scored a pair of goals and assists for four points in loss 15-13 loss to Denver Outlaws. 6/29 Scored first career hat-trick, 2-pointer for four points in 16-13 win over Denver Outlaws. 7/6 Scored career high of four goals in one game in 18-16 loss to LA Riptide. |
